Membrane synoviale vascularisation

Definition: The synovial membrane (MS) covers the internal surface of the fibrous joint capsule and only 4 deep cells. It has a discontinuous surface and is not connected to a basement membrane; therefore, the synovial membrane is not an epithelium. It has many blood vessels, nerves and lymphatic vessels.

The synovial membrane (also known as the synovial stratum, synovium or stratum synoviale) is a specialized connective tissue that lines the inner surface of capsules of synovial joints and tendon sheath. It makes direct contact with the fibrous membrane on the outside surface and with the synovial fluid lubricant on the inside surface. In contact with the synovial fluid at the tissue surface …

vascularisation, innervation and involvement in pathological processes. Moreover, … layer which is lined by stratum synoviale (synonymous with synovial membrane or synovium). These 2 layers are often so intimately fused that it is not possible to identify a distinct boundary between them. Ghadially [13] called the lining layer adjacent to the joint space the “synovial intima” and the …

e.g. The first data were published more than two hundred years ago (Hunter 1743), followed by Bichat (1800), Brodie (1834), Key (1925), Walcott (1927) – (quoted see Stone 1947). The synovial membrane (also known as the synovial stratum, synovium or stratum synoviale) is a specialized connective tissue that lines the inner surface of capsules of synovial joints and tendon sheath. The synovial membrane (also known as synovium or stratum synoviale) [help 1] is the soft tissue found between the joint capsule and the joint cavity of synovial joints. It secretes the synovial fluid, which fills the joint cavity and lubricates the joint.

Synovial membrane is traditionally considered as a part of the joint capsule. It, how-ever, differs from fibrous part of the capsule in development, structure, function, vascularisation, innervation and involvement in pathological processes. Moreover, in some areas, it even does not contact with the fibrous capsule.

The synovial membrane (also known as synovium or stratum synoviale) is a specialized connective tissue that lines the inner surface of capsules of synovial joints and tendon sheath. It makes direct contact with the synovial fluid lubricant, which it is primarily responsible for maintaining. In contact with the synovial fluid at the tissue surface are many rounded macrophage-like synovial cells …
